Payment, Refund & Cancellation Policy

STET APPLICATION PAYMENT FLOW

The STET Online Portal provides a secure, step-by-step process for candidates to register, complete their application, and pay the prescribed examination fee online.

  1. 1. Visit the STET Online Portal

    Candidates must first visit the official STET Online Portal (tet.sikkim.gov.in) and click "Login with Sikkim GO" on the Home Page.

  2. 2. Sikkim GO Registration and Login

    First-time users are redirected to sso.sikkim.gov.in to register with Username, First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Mobile Number. Returning users log in via Email+Password or Mobile+OTP.

  3. 3. STET User Dashboard

    After login, the candidate selects an examination category — Primary Teacher, Graduate Teacher (Arts), or Graduate Teacher (Science) — and clicks "Proceed to Apply". A separate application is required for each category.

  4. 4. Complete the Online Application

    The application form has 4 steps: Instructions, Applicant Basic Details, Education/Academic Details, and Preview & Submit.

  5. 5. Proceed to Payment

    After submission, the candidate is redirected to the Payment Option page showing Application ID, Examination Category and Application Fee.

  6. 6. Click "Pay Now"

    The candidate is redirected to the authorized online payment gateway.

  7. 7. Complete Payment

    Available methods: Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, and other gateway-supported methods.

  8. 8. Payment Confirmation

    Upon successful capture, the candidate receives a payment acknowledgement/receipt, and status is updated on the STET Portal.

  9. 9. View Payment Status

    Candidates can check the "My Applications" section on the STET User Dashboard. Retain the payment receipt and Application ID for future reference.

PRICING POLICY

The STET application fee is prescribed by the Education Department, Government of Sikkim, for candidates applying to appear for the examination.

Primary Teacher ₹500/-
Graduate Teacher – Arts ₹500/-
Graduate Teacher – Science ₹500/-
  • The application fee of ₹500/- is applicable per application.
  • Fee shall be paid only through the authorized online payment gateway on the official STET Portal.
  • Candidates should verify application details and category before making payment.
Important: Payment of the prescribed application fee does not by itself confirm eligibility or guarantee acceptance of the application. All applications remain subject to eligibility criteria, examination rules and instructions prescribed by the Education Department, Government of Sikkim. The application fee, once successfully received, shall be governed by the STET Refund and Cancellation Policy below.
REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

The application fee of ₹500/- per application is generally non-refundable once successfully paid. This policy explains only the specific cases where cancellation or refund may be applicable.

Cancellation — Not Permitted Cases
  • Candidate changes their mind after payment — Once payment is completed, withdrawal is not allowed.
  • Wrong selection of examination category or incorrect details — Responsibility lies with the candidate before final submission.
  • Candidate found ineligible or application rejected — Fee is not refunded even if the application is rejected.
  • Candidate does not appear for the examination — Absence from exam does not qualify for refund.
  • Failure to complete application / voluntary discontinuation — Incomplete or abandoned applications are not refundable.
Refund Eligibility — Only in Specific Cases
  • Duplicate Payment — If the same application fee is paid more than once, the extra amount may be refunded after verification.
  • Technical or Payment Gateway Error — If money is received more than once or incorrectly due to system/banking error, refund may be processed after confirmation.
  • Failed Transaction with Bank Reversal — If payment is debited but later failed or reversed, no application fee is retained.
Important Notes
  • Refunds are not based on bank debit alone; only confirmed receipt by the system is considered.
  • All refund cases require official verification and reconciliation.
  • Approved refunds are returned to the original payment source.
  • Processing time depends on the bank or payment gateway.
